Dr. Anja Jürgensen completed her studies and legal clerkship in Hamburg and Boston and was admitted to the bar in 2007. She has been advising private and public companies on corporate law and all civil law matters for many years. As a result of her work for the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Oslo, stations at public consulting companies and her participation in a comprehensive study on the evaluation of laws, Dr. Anja Jürgensen also has a sound insight into the structures and working methods of the public sector. Accordingly, in recent years her work has focused in particular on advising public companies, in particular statutory health insurance funds, on supervisory matters, on issues of board liability and on the development of suggestions for new legal structures.
In the area of private companies, Dr. Anja Jürgensen also has detailed knowledge of international banking law, in particular non-European banking law including letter of credit law, as well as advising companies in crisis, including the release of managing directors from liability and the negotiation of debt settlement plans.
She is the author of numerous publications and was a lecturer at the VWA Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie of the FOM Hochschule für Oekonomie und Management from 2009 to 2018 as well as temporarily at other universities.
